We invite you to present your latest research to the Special Issue “Next-Generation Computing: Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities” of Programming and Computer Software Journal, Springer, ISSN 0361-7688,https://link.springer.com/journal/11086 , IF 0.7, Q4 (Scopus: Q3).

This new issue explores the evolution of computing systems and technologies shaping the next decade. It aims to foster discussion on innovative paradigms, architectures, and methodologies that redefine how computing is conceived, implemented, and applied. We welcome high-quality original research, surveys, and practical studies that contribute to the understanding and advancement of modern computing.

Submitting Extended Papers from Conisoft 2025

The following guidelines should be followed by the Conisoft 2025 presenters submitting extended versions of their conference papers for publication in our Special Issue.

Submission Requirements

Major Requirements:

  • Include at least 40% new material (additional theory, concepts, experimentation, data, and results)
  • Create a new title and abstract
  • Cite the original Conisoft 2025 paper
  • Discuss the conference paper and summarize the new contributions
  • Revise the introduction and conclusions to reflect the expanded content
  • Use different images and tables from the original when possible

Required Submission Documents:

  1. Extended paper with significant new content
  2. Original Conisoft 2025 paper
  3. Cover letter confirming 40% new content
  4. Paraphrasing analysis report comparing original and extended versions

Recommendations for Creating Extended Papers

  • Incorporate feedback received during the conference
  • Address questions and comments from the conference presentation
  • Develop a new, expanded introduction
  • Significantly enhance background material
  • Include additional related work and references
  • Add more examples, explanations, tables, and figures
  • Expand results and discussion sections
  • Begin with a citation to the original conference paper using wording such as: "This paper is an extension of work originally presented in conference name [1]"

Cover Letter Guidelines, your cover letter should

  • Indicate this is an expanded version of a Conisoft 2025 paper
  • Include the original conference paper title
  • Summarize key differences between the original and expanded versions
  • Include the paraphrasing analysis report

Paraphrasing Analysis Guidelines, to ensure originality:

  • Use a reliable paraphrasing analysis tool
  • Conduct bi-directional analysis (extended vs. conference paper and vice versa)
  • Carefully interpret the results
  • Include the tool-generated analysis output with your submission
